Dar Stellabotta born and raised in the bible belt state Maryland
fuses folk, hip hop and punk to a new genre of music we call
Darstyle. In April 2011 Dar erupts with a new album “Ride
the Wave of Love.” Dar demonstrates her wide range of
musical tastes and abilities on this record featuring Chris
Colvin, Kevin Miller and Keith Harancher. “Ride the Wave
of Love” is available on Dig Station, CD Baby, I-Tunes
and for mail order. Since 2002 Dar has opened up for bands such
as Blues Traveler, Rusted Root, Culture and The Avett Brothers.
In 2011 at The State Theater in Virginia Dar joined in on a
hand drum jam during a John K. show, the new singer for The
Dead. Over the years Dar has played festivals such as Jerry's
Birthday bash at Sunshine Daydreams in West Virginia and the
420 Jam in Virginia. Upon the release of her new album Dar filmed
a music video for the song “Cellphone” staring Nicole
Hughes, had a CD release party at The Whiskey in Annapolis MD
and performed a New England acoustic tour. After spending a
good amount of time following bands on tour like String Cheese
Incident, Allman Brothers, The Dead and jamming with countless
musicians in the parking lot Dar decided to put forth that attention
to her own music, thus the album “Ride the Wave of Love.”
